Thu discovered yoga in her early 20s as a simple workout, but it quickly unfolded into a deeper practice of presence, self-connection, and embodied awareness. Drawn by curiosity and a love of movement, she followed her favorite teachers across towns, exploring a wide range of styles and philosophies, with a deep interest in Eastern philosophies and hands-on bodywork. What began as personal study soon opened her world to teaching and community.
Thu completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jeffrey Walsh & Pamela Walsh at Waltham Yoga in February 2016, followed by Spa Yoga® I certification with Betty Riaz in 2017. During this time, she assisted at international retreats led by Cassandra Foster in Tulum and Koh Samui, deepening her understanding of mindful, restorative practices within retreat and spa settings. She continued her education with advanced restorative assists under Larissa Foreman and Vito Politano, earning her Spa Yoga® II certification in 2019.
Her training also includes Aerial Yoga, Yin Yoga, Reiki, movement-based modalities, Anatomy Trains for Movement Professionals under Johanna Welch of Anatomy Trains, and continued study in Fascia Release with Maria Alfeiris. These diverse lineages inform Thu's multidimensional, intuitive approach, where anatomy, energy, and lived experience meet.
A back injury became a pivotal turning point in Thu's journey. Humbled and invited to begin again, she returned to yoga from the ground up, learning to slow down, listen deeply, and trust the body's innate intelligence. Her desire to move pain-free sparked a devoted healing practice that wove together body, mind, and heart, ultimately guiding her recovery and reshaping her relationship with movement.
Today, Thu believes yoga has the power to expand our worlds when we listen inward. Her classes invite curiosity, play, and presence, encouraging students to soften, move intuitively, and explore sensation rather than performance. Each practice creates space for healing, freedom in movement, and a deeper sense of coming home to oneself.
It is an honor to practice together.
Namaste.
